RAMSEY, N.J. — Former Ramsey resident Elizabeth Spaldo (Johnstone) died Wednesday, June 1. She was 87.
Spaldo was a former parishioner of St. Paul’s R.C. Church in Ramsey.
Spaldo is survived by her son, Louis C. Spaldo III and his wife Ellen; daughter, Lorraine and her husband John Sassano; daughter, Lynn and her husband Patrick Foreit; daughter, Ann and her husband John Muoio; daughter, Ginny and her husband Jamie Dawson; and daughter, Joan and her husband Frank Tie.
She also is survived by her grandchildren, Leslie Cappello, Kelly Consentino, Billy Foreit, Lisa Muoio, Elizabeth Muoio, Cara Dawson, Melissa Dawson, Christina Dawson, Emily Tie and Alex Tie; great-grandchildren, Grayson and Isabella Cappello and Avery and Olivia Consentino; and two sisters, Clare Ramaglia and Florence and her husband Michael Pallarino.
Spaldo was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Louis Charles Spaldo Jr.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff.
A funeral Mass will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul’s R.C. Church, 200 Wyckoff Ave., Ramsey, with the interment to follow at Maryrest Cemetery, in Mahwah.
